Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan (ドラゴンボールＺゼット 燃もえつきろ！！ 熱ねっ戦せん・烈れっ戦せん・超ちょう激げき戦せん Doragon Bōru Zetto Moetsukiro!! Nessen Ressen Chō Gekisen, lit. Dragon Ball Z: Burn Up!! A Red-Hot, Raging, Super-Fierce Fight), also known as Dragon Ball Z: The Burning Battles, is the eleventh Dragon Ball film and the eighth under the Dragon Ball Z banner. The original release date in Japan was on March 6, 1993. Due to the popularity of the movie, it spawned two sequels: Broly - Second Coming and Bio-Broly, which collectively are known as the Broly Saga. Not only has it become by far the most well-known of all 15 movies under the Z Banner in terms of popularity, but it's also infamous for its usage of American rock bands for its English score.

Son Goku 孙悟空

(日语：孫悟空；英语：Son Goku)，是鸟山明的原作漫画《龙珠》及其改编原作系列中登场的虚构角色与主角，名字来自中国古典神怪小说《西游记》的“孙悟空”。“孙”是姓，“悟空”是名。由养育之父孙悟饭授予，其赛亚人本名为:卡卡罗特。其他纯种赛亚人直接称之为卡卡罗特。名字的由来是从红萝卜（胡萝卜）。与他的爱妻琪琪一起生下的长子的名字，是当年拉拔悟空长大的爷爷，孙悟饭的名字。 Son Goku is a Saiyan raised on Earth and the overall main protagonist of the Dragon Ball series. He is Bardock and Gine's youngest son, the husband of Chi-Chi, and the father of Gohan and Goten. Son Goku is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball manga series created by Akira Toriyama. He is based on Sun Wukong (known as Son Goku in Japan and Monkey King in the West), a main character of the classic 16th-century Chinese novel Journey to the West, combined with influences from the Hong Kong martial arts films of Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee. Originally sent to Earth by his parents as an infant, Kakarot was adopted by Grandpa Gohan and given the name Son Goku. A head injury at an early age altered Goku's memory, ridding him of his initial destructive nature and allowing him to grow up to become one of Earth's greatest defenders. Goku constantly strives and trains to be the greatest warrior possible, which has kept the Earth and the universe safe from destruction multiple times.

Son Gohan 孙悟饭

孙悟饭是鸟山明的经典作品《龙珠》中的主要人物，是主角孙悟空的长子。拥有强大的潜能，但是性格不像父亲一样好战。自幼在母亲琪琪的教导下勤奋地读书，梦想是成为一名学者。性格善良勇敢，不太喜欢战斗，可愤怒时便会发挥强大的力量。小时候肩负着打败赛亚人保护地球的重任，仅4岁就被迫离开家庭，在荒野跟随比克修炼，建立了深厚的感情。后来又到那美克星与宇宙帝王弗利萨战斗，曾在愤怒状态下把二次变身的弗利萨打得毫无还手之力，逼弗利萨完成最后一次变身。人造人来袭时跟悟空到精神时光屋修练，在极度愤怒下变成超级赛亚人2击败终极人造人沙鲁，七年后又在和魔人布欧战斗中被老界王神引发全部潜力。在魔人布欧一战结束后，和高中同学比迪丽结婚，并专心治学，过着平静的生活。10年后如愿成为学者，并育有一女小芳。未来时空的孙悟饭死于未来17号、未来18号联手。

Son Gohan (孫そん悟ご飯はん Son Gohan, Japanese pronunciation: [sõŋgohãɴ]) is a half-breed Saiyan and one of the most prominent characters in the Dragon Ball series. He is the elder son of the series' primary protagonist Goku and his wife Chi-Chi, the older brother of Goten, the husband of Videl and father to Pan. He is named after Goku's adoptive grandfather, Gohan. Unlike his father, Gohan is a brilliant scholar and lacks a passion for fighting, preferring to do so only when his loved ones are threatened. Nevertheless, he spends much of his life participating in the defense of Earth, often helping to turn the tides when the dormant depths of his power are unleashed

Piccolo 比克

比克（日文名：ピッコロ、英文名：Piccolo），日本漫画《龙珠》及其衍生作品中的角色，Z战士之一。由古川登志夫配音。来自那美克星的那美克星人，曾是企图征服世界的邪恶大魔王，将孙悟空视为宿敌，但随着孙悟空、孙悟饭父子对其之影响，内心逐渐产生改变，最终改邪归正并保护地球。 Piccolo (ピッコロ, Pikkoro) is the spawn of King Piccolo, created to get revenge on Goku in the wake of his death, and subsequently assumes the role as the "evil half" of Kami. However, after being narrowly defeated by Goku, he must team up with him and his friends when opposing the invading Saiyans, including training Goku's son Gohan. He is later revealed to be a Namekian—a green-skinned, four-fingered, hairless humanoid species who created the series' titular Dragon Balls. He dies sacrificing himself to protect Gohan during the fight against the Saiyan Nappa, and trains in the afterlife under King Kai before being wished back to life by the Namekian Dragon Balls. While he temporarily maintains the partnership during the fights with Frieza and the Androids, by the time of the Cell and Majin Buu arcs he accepts the fact they are allies.

Krillin 克林

(クリリン；英语：Kuririn)，是日本漫画作家鸟山明在集英社《周刊少年Jump》连载的《龙珠》虚构角色。一颗光头，没有鼻子，矮小的身材，克林是一个造型简单的人物。作者的创作初衷似乎在设计一位标准的小和尚，向功夫的泰斗少林寺致敬。初登场的克林是悟空在龟仙流的同门师兄弟，也可以说是竞争对手。当时他给人的印象是坏坏的，老是想歪点子赢过悟空，而且还有些好色，和师傅龟仙人臭味相投。不过随着故事的发展，克林的性格逐渐变得和悟空一样正义而单纯（据声优推测是受悟空的影响吧），并且是在爱情上专一的好男人。他被弗利萨杀害时，悟空极度愤怒而变身为传说中的战士超级赛亚人。他在爱情上的付出也有所回报，娶到了心目中的女神18号。雅木茶则认为克林是最强的地球人。以上种种，均可见作者对这一角色之青睐。 Krillin (クリリン, Kuririn) is a bald martial artist and one of Goku's best friends and classmates. He and Goku are under the tutelage of Master Roshi; initially his rival but later a friend, and a loyal companion in adventures thereafter. He is killed by King Piccolo's spawn Tambourine, but is later revived by Shenron. After the fight with the Saiyans, he travels to Planet Namek, where he is killed by Frieza. After being brought back to life again by the Namekian Dragon Balls, he helps out during the Android and Cell arcs. He is married to Android 18 and has a daughter, Marron (マーロン, Māron).

Vegeta 贝吉塔

Vegeta (ベジータ Bejīta), more specifically Vegeta IV (ベジータ四世 Bejīta Yonsei), recognized as Prince Vegeta (ベジータ王子 Bejīta Ōji), is the prince of the fallen Saiyan race and the husband of Bulma, the father of Trunks and Bulla, the eldest son of King Vegeta, as well as one of the main characters of the Dragon Ball series. Regal, egotistical, and full of pride, Vegeta was once a ruthless, cold-blooded warrior and outright killer, but later abandoned his position in the Frieza Force for a peaceful life on Earth. He would repeatedly fight alongside Universe 7's most powerful warriors in order to protect Earth and his family, as well as to surpass Goku in power. Vegeta's strong character development has received high praise and is regarded as the biggest in the series. He initially debuted as the main antagonist of the Vegeta Saga, but progressed into a more anti-heroic tritagonist role for the rest of Dragon Ball Z. Since the Majin Buu Saga and going into Dragon Ball Super, Vegeta has been the main deuteragonist/secondary protagonist behind Goku.

Master Roshi 龟仙人
龟仙人，日本经典动漫《龙珠》及其衍生作品中的角色。曾是世界第一的武道家，被世人称为”武术之神“。武学流派龟仙流的创始者、龟派气功之父、武术宗师武泰斗的得意弟子。表面上是一位色眯眯的老头，但实际上却是位敢于为消灭邪恶而牺牲自身性命的战士。于”短笛大魔王篇“后完全退居三线、将未来托付于新时代的战士们。后期的龟仙人已失去天下第一的美名，但”武术之神“的称谓依然流传着。 Kame-Sen'nin (亀仙人, "Turtle Hermit"), also known as Muten-Rōshi (武天老師, lit "Martial Arts Genius Master"), which is rendered as "Master Roshi" in the English versions, is a lecherous elderly martial arts master instructor that lives on a small island and is the inventor of the Kamehameha technique. He trained Grandpa Gohan and Ox-King, Goku, and Krillin, and a few others. He is often accompanied by his talking sea turtle companion, Umigame (ウミガメ, "Sea Turtle"), who often tries to point out his flaws. Master Roshi was trained by Master Mutaito (武泰斗), who also trained his cohorts-turned-rival Tsuru-Sen'nin (鶴仙人, "Crane Hermit"); he has also received additional training from Korin. When he appears anonymously in the World Martial Arts Tournament, Master Roshi uses the name "Jackie Chun" (ジャッキー・チュン, Jakkī Chun), wears a wig, and discards his sunglasses.

Bulma 布马

（日语：ブルマ；英语：Bulma），日本漫画作家鸟山明的漫画《龙珠》原作与改编的系列中登场的人物。也是系列中主角·孙悟空的第一位同伴。万能胶囊公司董事长布里夫博士的女儿，IQ极高的天才科学家。为得到浪漫的爱情而收集龙珠、并与孙悟空等人展开大冒险。起初与雅木茶为男女朋友，后因忍受不了雅木茶沾花惹草而分手。那美克星篇结束后与贝吉塔先后生下了特兰克斯与布拉。

Bulma (ブルマ, Buruma) first appears as a teenager using the Dragon Radar, a fictional device she created to detect the energy signal emitted by Dragon Balls. She is led to Goku's location by the signal emitted by the four-star ball in his possession and recruits him as a bodyguard while hoping to get his four-star ball to grant her wish for a boyfriend. She gives up on the wish after meeting Yamcha, and much later in the series, she marries Vegeta. Bulma has also assumed the role of inventor and has consistently provided critical tech support to Goku and his friends in their battles against various enemies and threats throughout the series. Some of her notable innovations include a microband that could make her shrink and a time machine that brought her son from an alternate future timeline, Trunks, to the past on multiple occasions.

Trunks 特兰克斯

Trunks (トランクス Torankusu) is a Human-type Earthling/Saiyan hybrid, the firstborn child and only son of Vegeta and Bulma and the older brother of Bulla.

Chi-Chi 琪琪

琪琪，日本经典动漫《龙珠》及其衍生作品中的角色。牛魔王的女儿、孙悟空的妻子。幼时与孙悟空在火焰山相遇，并定下婚约。后在第23届天下第一武道会上与已成年的孙悟空重逢并完婚，婚后育有两子—孙悟饭、孙悟天。婚后的琪琪成为典型的教育型妈妈，但依然有着贤妻良母的一面。

Chi-Chi (チチ) is Goku's wife, Gohan and Goten's mother, and Pan's grandmother. She and Goku first meet as children when her father, the Ox-King, asks Goku to take her to Master Roshi's house. In a misunderstanding, Goku promises to marry her. Years later, she confronts him about his promise at the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament, and they get married. As the matriarch of the family, she is depicted as being overprotective of Gohan's well-being and wishes to interrupt Goku's lifestyle of fighting and constant conflict. She relaxes her stance with her younger son Goten, even training him herself.

Oolong 乌龙

乌龙（日文名：乌龙、英文名：Uron、又译：小八戒），日本漫画《龙珠》及其衍生作品中的角色。外型是一只小猪，动物型地球人。该角色根据《西游记》中的猪八戒为原型及中国茶叶乌龙茶命名

 Oolong (ウーロン, Ūron), named Mao-Mao in the Harmony Gold dub, is a shapeshifting, anthropomorphic pig that uses his abilities for his greedy desires. He and Puar went to the same shapeshifting school together before he was expelled for stealing the teacher's panties; as such, he can only change his form for five minutes at a time, requiring a one-minute break afterwards. Oolong joins Goku and Bulma to search for the Dragon Balls and eventually steal them but abandons this plan. He makes the first shown wish with the Dragon Balls: a pair of panties. Oolong plays a minor role as the series progresses, where he is often in the company of Master Roshi.

Dr. Briefs 布里夫博士

Dr. Briefs is the founder and president of Capsule Corporation (カプセルコーポレーション, Kapuseru Kōporēshon), the largest company on Earth, and the man responsible for the invention of the Hoi-Poi Capsules (ホイ ポイ カプセル, Hoi Poi Kapuseru), which can shrink inanimate objects down to pocket-sized capsule of namesake
Bikini
Bikini (ビキニ) is the wife of Dr. Brief, the mother of Tights and Bulma, the mother-in-law of Vegeta, and the maternal grandmother of Trunks and Bulla. Bikini went unnamed in the original manga, anime and guidebooks, only ever being referred to as Bulma's mother (ブルマのママ Buruma no mama). In an interview, Toriyama noted that had he named her he probably would have gone with Panchy (パンチー Panchī), which was later used as her name in Dragon Ball SD.


King Kai 北界王

King Kai (界かい王おう様さま Kaiō-sama, lit. "King of Worlds") is the North Kai (北きたの界かい王おう Kita no Kaiō, lit. "North King of Worlds") and king of Universe 7's North Area. A comedy lover and brilliant mentor, he acts as Goku's Martial Arts teacher and instructs him in using the Kaio-ken and the Spirit Bomb. He later teaches Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, Piccolo, and Chiaotzu and continues to act as a major supporting character throughout the majority of the series.

Bubbles 巴布魯斯
巴布鲁斯，日本漫画《龙珠》及其衍生作品中的角色。北界王的宠物。
Bubbles (バブルス Baburusu) is the monkey pet and friend of King Kai. He serves a special purpose during King Kai's training lessons, particularly one of two endurance tests, where trainees are instructed to chase after Bubbles in an effort to catch him. Though the task may seem simple at first, there is a catch: the gravity on King Kai's Planet is ten times that of Earth, and Bubbles is perfectly used to it.

Future Trunks 特兰克斯

Future Trunks (未み来らいのトランクス Mirai no Torankusu) is a Saiyan-Earthling hybrid and the son of Vegeta and Bulma, both from an alternate future. By the time Present Trunks was born, the timeline had been drastically altered by Future Trunks' and Cell's trips to the past. Therefore, the two Trunks had completely different lives (as opposed to those who lived before the Time Machines arrived, who lived exactly the same lives as their counterparts until the point at which the two timelines diverge, three years before the androids arrived). Well-mannered, serious and very cautious, Trunks hails from an alternate timeline in which Future Androids 17 and 18 murdered the Dragon Team and proceeded to create an apocalyptic anarchy on Earth. Trunks is trained by Future Gohan as a teenager and becomes a gifted fighter, swordsman and a Super Saiyan, which are traits that aid him greatly in the battle against the Androids after traveling back in time in order to save his own future. More than 10 years later, Future Trunks would return in Dragon Ball Super, this time fighting against a mysterious entity referred to as Goku Black (and later his counterpart) wreaking havoc in the future. In the end, Trunks (with the help of Goku and Vegeta) neutralizes the threat, though unfortunately, Zamasu not only survives the ordeal, but he becomes an even bigger threat, to the point that Future Zeno was needed to erase him. Trunks himself is one of the three survivors and is currently living in another future timeline where another Future Trunks exists - created in the anime by Whis warning Future Beerus ahead of time to eliminate the soon-to-be rogue Supreme Kai, while in the manga Trunks and Mai travel to their timeline's past and prevent Future Shin's death with the blessing of Beerus as it will save his counterpart, thus eliminating the possibility of the Project Zero Mortals.

Shamo
Shamo (シャモ Shamo) is a Shamoian. Shamo is a small Shamoian with yellow skin and a purple mohawk. While working on New Planet Vegeta, Shamo checks on his grandfather when he collapses and meets Gohan, Future Trunks, and Krillin. He tells them how he and his people were taken from their planet after a Super Saiyan ravaged it. Shamo is attacked by Angol for not working until Gohan rescues him. While they were eating, Shamo and the other children tell Gohan, Krillin, and Future Trunks about the Legendary Super Saiyan and that Paragus wasn't the one that destroyed their planet. When Gohan, Krillin, and Future Trunks bring the slaves to the palace, Shamo identify Broly as the one that attacked their planet. He then watches Broly destroy his people homeworld.

Moah
Moah (モア Moa) is a green alien soldier who appears in Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan. Moah was working on New Planet Vegeta for Paragus. Moah is seen telling his master, Paragus, that he is afraid because the Comet Camori is getting closer to New Planet Vegeta and will soon crash into it. This, however, is exactly what Paragus wants, and for showing fear for Camori's approach, Paragus kills him using his Dead Punisher.


Krang
Krang (タコ科学者 Tako Kagaku-sha) is a purple alien scientist who works for Paragus in Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan. Although he usually wears a black cloak, his true form resembles a combination of an octopus and a brain, with several tentacles and a mustache.

King Vegeta 贝吉塔王
贝吉塔王是日本漫画《龙珠》及其衍生作品中的角色。赛亚人的国王，是贝吉塔的父亲，性格冷酷无情，野心勃勃。最后被弗利萨杀死。宇宙第一战斗民族赛亚人之王，贝吉塔和塔布尔的父亲。虽然身为国王，他和赛亚人全族却不得不委身于宇宙帝王弗利萨之下俯首称臣。是当时赛亚人一族里的最强者。但第一次来到地球的贝吉塔说过他小时候就已经超过身为国王的父亲了。
King Vegeta (ベジータ王 Bejīta-ō), more specifically Vegeta III (ベジータ三世 Bejīta Sansei), was the last king of the Saiyans and the father of Vegeta IV and Tarble. After his people were annexed by King Cold's Cold Army he had no choice but to pledge allegiance, but still kept power over his people; this continued into the Saiyans' time under Frieza's Frieza Force, until the tyrant slaughtered them.

Paragus 帕拉伽斯
帕拉伽斯，日本经典动漫《龙珠Z》贝吉塔行星的赛亚人，布罗利的父亲，在贝吉塔星身份是大佐。最终被脱离其控制暴走的布罗利所杀。
Paragus (パラガス Paragasu) is the father of Broly. He appears as the secondary antagonist in Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan. Paragus is one of the few Saiyans shown to wear Battle Armor different to that of Frieza's employ; Paragus's armor vaguely resembles that of Goku's Yardrat outfit. The armor he wears frequently changes colors throughout various flashbacks. Also, in one case, it looks like he was not wearing any armor. He also wears a white collared cape that touches the ground and covers the right half of his body. Because of Broly's actions during his childhood, Paragus' left eye was injured and has a scar running from his left eyebrow to his cheek at the time of Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan.

Broly 布罗利

Broly (ブロリー Burorī) is the main antagonist in the Broly Triple Threat trilogy. He appears to be the latest of the Legendary Super Saiyans who appear every one thousand years. Broly was born in Age 737, during the period of intense turmoil between Frieza and the Saiyans. At birth, his most curious feature was his inordinate power level of 10,000. This anomaly meant that by birth, Broly's power had already been close to that of Bardock and King Vegeta at the time of their deaths. In the Saiyan delivery room where he rests afterward, Broly is tormented by the constant crying of his neighbor, Kakarot. Kakarot's crying, combined with the traumatic events to follow, affected Broly's psychological state of mind, causing him to hold a subconscious grudge against him. The two infants would not meet again for almost three decades.

Broly - Super Saiyan (A type) 超级赛亚人·限制
布罗利最初登场超赛形态，此形态战斗力是常态的五十倍，遇见孙悟空时，布罗利再也无法压制住怒火，在头箍的限制下他变身成了不完全的超赛。因为头箍限制布罗利一口气提升战斗力，所以头发呈蓝绿色浑身燃烧着金色的气息，这时能力被压制，此状态下的布罗利依旧能无视超1贝吉塔的攻击。后来出现时已经没有了头箍，所以布罗利变成了正常超赛状态。

During Broly's first psychotic outburst wherein, he pursues Goku, he transforms into a Super Saiyan, although his appearance in the form differs as a result of his crown restraint. In this mind-controlled Super Saiyan form, Broly's muscles swell slightly, his hair assumes a neon blue hue with purple tint (completely purple if in a dark environment, such as his first fight with Goku), and his skin pigment is dulled, additionally, he does not gain as much power as he would in his true Super Saiyan form - this form is called Super Saiyan (A type).

Broly - Super Saiyan (C type) 超级赛亚人
战斗力同上，根据鸟山明的最新资料变身超级赛亚人与体内的S细胞有关，首先必须要让S细胞达到一定程度加上愤怒之类的情绪刺激S细胞瞬间增加。瞳色变蓝，头发变成金色并除刘海外全部竖起，气息也会变成金色。因为生来就有强大的战斗力，所以用比悟空更强的常态变身成的超级赛亚人也有比起悟空的普通超级赛亚人更强的力量
In Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan, just before transforming into the Legendary Super Saiyan, Broly becomes a green haired Super Saiyan (C type). In Broly - Second Coming, Broly's regular yellow haired Super Saiyan transformation makes its full onscreen debut. Unlike other Saiyans however, Broly's hair in this form appears as a dull yellow with a slight green tint. This form is referred to as Super Saiyan (C type). Also, from what is shown of Broly's regular Super Saiyan form, he is strong enough to take down Goten and Trunks as Super Saiyans without much effort. However, when seeing Gohan transform into a Super Saiyan 2, he reacts with shock and promptly transforms into his Legendary Super Saiyan form, implying that his regular Super Saiyan form was no match to Gohan's Super Saiyan 2 form.

Broly - Legendary Super Saiyan 传说中的超级赛亚人
布罗利变身的传超形态，官方将该形态以角色名称取名，既布罗利型 ，也叫超级赛亚人（最终形态）。拥有极其可怕恐怖的战斗力。嗜血狂暴好战拥有能一击毁灭行星的力量。传超变身后头发偏绿色而不是普通超级赛亚人的金色，爆气时发金，变身后瞳孔会消失，肌肉也会急剧膨胀，并且身高爆增30cm，外表类似“超级赛亚人第三阶段”，但性质上不同于前者，这个形态下力量与速度都会显著增加，不会给身体带来任何负担，体力也不会加速流失，并且拥有极高的防御力，掉入岩浆都不会死。
Broly awakened this form as a result of Frieza destroying Planet Vegeta. As the Legendary Super Saiyan, Broly's strength and speed greatly excel that of any Super Saiyan shown previously. Broly's height and muscle mass are also greatly increased after transforming; the former reaching 9'11" (302cm) in height. His power level also rises on several occasions found throughout the film, though whether this is caused by the form or is simply Broly increasing his power level is left unclear. Additionally, the irises and pupils in his eyes disappear, and his hair changes to a light-green color. In addition, although it has similarities to the Super Saiyan Third Grade form, and was referred to as such by one source, it also possessed tremendous speed, which could be considered "Ultra-First Class",which was demonstrated with his effortlessly dodging rapid attacks from a combined front of both Goku and Piccolo at one point, as well as a clothesline maneuver he performed on Goku late in their battle.
