Dragon Ball Z: Broly - Second Coming (ドラゴンボールＺゼット 危ふ険たなふたり！超スーパー戦せん士しはねむれない Doragon Bōru Zetto Kiken na Futari! Sūpā Senshi wa Nemurenai, lit. Dragon Ball Z: The Dangerous Duo! Super Warriors Can't Rest), also known as Dragon Ball Z: Dangerous Rivals, is the thirteenth Dragon Ball film and the tenth under the Dragon Ball Z banner. Released in Japan on March 12, 1994, it is the sequel to Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan, and it received a sequel four months after its release, Dragon Ball Z: Bio-Broly, together making up the Broly Saga. The film was dubbed into English and released on April 5, 2005, by Funimation.

Timeline placement
As it is a sequel to Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan this film takes place 7 years after Broly's defeat at the hands of Goku on New Planet Vegeta. The film's events take place a short time before the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament begins, as Goku is still deceased, Gohan has developed a friendship with Videl and Goten can fly, although Goten seems to know his father, despite only meeting him for the first time at the tournament.

在上一集‘燃烧吧!!热战・烈战・超激战’的结尾，新的贝吉塔行星崩坏前布罗利搭上宇宙船来到了地球的冰冷区域，宇宙船在迫降后形成的陨石坑积水、冻结成一个冰川。布罗利经过上一次的战斗身体的创伤并没有复原，在冰川里沉睡了七年。这七年期间布罗利的能量令娜塔迪村（ナタデ村）周遭的气候生态异常，村子里的居民决定请来祭司，让珂珂成为怪兽的活人祭品，目的是希望让所有的村民恢复正常的生活。有一天薇黛儿、孙悟天及特兰克斯为了寻找七龙珠来到娜塔迪村，自告奋勇地代替珂珂成为活祭品挑战这个传说的怪兽，后来因为悟天的哭声唤醒村民口中的怪物，原来怪物就是布罗利。悟天与孙悟空长相非常相似，所以布罗利一度认为悟天就是卡卡罗特、向他们展开攻势，远方的小林和孙悟饭也前来救场，但是即使团结也陷入困境。最后七龙珠的力量让孙悟空返回现世。悟空怒道“怎么可以这点程度就屈服呢？把身上的力量全部都使出来，我不会再帮你们第二次的。”“难道我不在了，就没办法保护这个地球吗？”。后来因为特兰克斯的气功弹让布罗利分心，最后悟空和悟饭、悟天父子三人的龟派气功波把布罗利击败了。

Son Goku 孙悟空

Son Gohan (孫そん悟ご飯はん Son Gohan, Japanese pronunciation: [sõŋgohãɴ]) is a half-breed Saiyan and one of the most prominent characters in the Dragon Ball series. He is the elder son of the series' primary protagonist Goku and his wife Chi-Chi, the older brother of Goten, the husband of Videl and father to Pan. He is named after Goku's adoptive grandfather, Gohan. Unlike his father, Gohan is a brilliant scholar and lacks a passion for fighting, preferring to do so only when his loved ones are threatened. Nevertheless, he spends much of his life participating in the defense of Earth, often helping to turn the tides when the dormant depths of his power are unleashed
Krillin 克林
(クリリン；英语：Kuririn)，是日本漫画作家鸟山明在集英社《周刊少年Jump》连载的《龙珠》虚构角色。一颗光头，没有鼻子，矮小的身材，克林是一个造型简单的人物。作者的创作初衷似乎在设计一位标准的小和尚，向功夫的泰斗少林寺致敬。初登场的克林是悟空在龟仙流的同门师兄弟，也可以说是竞争对手。当时他给人的印象是坏坏的，老是想歪点子赢过悟空，而且还有些好色，和师傅龟仙人臭味相投。不过随着故事的发展，克林的性格逐渐变得和悟空一样正义而单纯（据声优推测是受悟空的影响吧），并且是在爱情上专一的好男人。他被弗利萨杀害时，悟空极度愤怒而变身为传说中的战士超级赛亚人。他在爱情上的付出也有所回报，娶到了心目中的女神18号。雅木茶则认为克林是最强的地球人。以上种种，均可见作者对这一角色之青睐。 Krillin (クリリン, Kuririn) is a bald martial artist and one of Goku's best friends and classmates. He and Goku are under the tutelage of Master Roshi; initially his rival but later a friend, and a loyal companion in adventures thereafter. He is killed by King Piccolo's spawn Tambourine, but is later revived by Shenron. After the fight with the Saiyans, he travels to Planet Namek, where he is killed by Frieza. After being brought back to life again by the Namekian Dragon Balls, he helps out during the Android and Cell arcs. He is married to Android 18 and has a daughter, Marron (マーロン, Māron).
Videl 比迪丽
比迪丽（ビーデル、Videl），日本经典动漫《龙珠》及其衍生作品中的角色，撒旦先生的独生女。实力不错，为人有正义感，喜欢维护正义，时常帮助警察们捉贼和救人，后来机缘巧合结识青年孙悟饭，学会舞空术，并与悟饭相爱。在消灭魔人布欧不久后，嫁给了孙悟饭，生有一女小芳。
Videl (ビーデル Bīderu) is the daughter of Mr. Satan and Miguel, the wife of Gohan and the mother of Pan. Initially, Videl is a headstrong, independent, fierce, tough and tomboyish girl who was raised with fame all around her where she is also feisty and stubborn, much like Chi-Chi. Videl is quite perceptive as she had doubts about her father's claims of defeating Cell and correctly deduced that Gohan was both the mysterious "Golden Fighter" and Great Saiyaman, as well as ultimately coming to suspect that Gohan was the boy who fought Cell Games. She was also crafty enough to get Gohan to accidentally reveal he was Great Saiyaman, which she uses to blackmail him.
Kasal
Kasal is a villager from Natade Village and Coco's grandfather. Kasal apologizes and begs Coco for forgiveness when she is selected as the next sacrifice to the "monster" attacking the village.
Zalador
Zalador (ナタデ村の長老 Natade-Mura no Chōrō, lit. "Natadae Village Elder") is the elder of the Natade Village. The residents of Natade Village are terrorized by a "monster", and their only source of help is the priest Maloja's preaching. When Goten, Trunks, and Videl arrive at Natade Village, Zalador tells them about the monster and Maloja's human sacrifices, calling him the "village idiot". The trio decide to save his village and defeat the monster, a dinosaur, in exchange for Maloja's necklace.
Coco
Coco (ココ Koko) is a villager from Natade Village. Coco was selected by Maloja, the village priest, to be the annual human sacrifice to the "monster" attacking the village. The human sacrifice is said to appease the angry spirits and leave the village in peace. Later, Goten, Trunks, and Videl find out about this and defeat the monster, a dinosaur.
Maloja
Maloja (祈祷師 Kitōshi) is a shaman. Maloja arranges for people to be sacrificed once a year to protect Natade Village from a "monster". Despite the other villagers viewing this as insane, his arrangement was heeded anyway as they couldn't come up with any better explanations. Goten, Trunks, and Videl arrived at the village and defeated the monster, a dinosaur, in exchange for Maloja's necklace. Trunks also took the opportunity to briefly rub salt on the wound, causing the other villagers to laugh alongside Trunks at Maloja's expense. The next morning, presumably out of desperation to try and get his reputation back, he was heard yelling incantations, although he was knocked down when an ice flow had suddenly been destroyed by an unseen force. He often shouts out random words that he thinks are incantations.
Broly 布罗利

Broly (ブロリー Burorī) is the main antagonist in the Broly Triple Threat trilogy. He appears to be the latest of the Legendary Super Saiyans who appear every one thousand years. Broly was born in Age 737, during the period of intense turmoil between Frieza and the Saiyans. At birth, his most curious feature was his inordinate power level of 10,000. This anomaly meant that by birth, Broly's power had already been close to that of Bardock and King Vegeta at the time of their deaths. In the Saiyan delivery room where he rests afterward, Broly is tormented by the constant crying of his neighbor, Kakarot. Kakarot's crying, combined with the traumatic events to follow, affected Broly's psychological state of mind, causing him to hold a subconscious grudge against him. The two infants would not meet again for almost three decades.
Broly - Super Saiyan (C type) 超级赛亚人

In Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan, just before transforming into the Legendary Super Saiyan, Broly becomes a green haired Super Saiyan (C type). In Broly - Second Coming, Broly's regular yellow haired Super Saiyan transformation makes its full onscreen debut. Unlike other Saiyans however, Broly's hair in this form appears as a dull yellow with a slight green tint. This form is referred to as Super Saiyan (C type). Also, from what is shown of Broly's regular Super Saiyan form, he is strong enough to take down Goten and Trunks as Super Saiyans without much effort. Broly - Legendary Super Saiyan 传说中的超级赛亚人
布罗利变身的传超形态，官方将该形态以角色名称取名，既布罗利型 ，也叫超级赛亚人（最终形态）。拥有极其可怕恐怖的战斗力。嗜血狂暴好战拥有能一击毁灭行星的力量。传超变身后头发偏绿色而不是普通超级赛亚人的金色，爆气时发金，变身后瞳孔会消失，肌肉也会急剧膨胀，并且身高爆增30cm，外表类似“超级赛亚人第三阶段”，但性质上不同于前者，这个形态下力量与速度都会显著增加，不会给身体带来任何负担，体力也不会加速流失，并且拥有极高的防御力，掉入岩浆都不会死。
Broly awakened this form as a result of Frieza destroying Planet Vegeta. As the Legendary Super Saiyan, Broly's strength and speed greatly excel that of any Super Saiyan shown previously. Broly's height and muscle mass are also greatly increased after transforming; the former reaching 9'11" (302cm) in height. His power level also rises on several occasions found throughout the film, though whether this is caused by the form or is simply Broly increasing his power level is left unclear. Additionally, the irises and pupils in his eyes disappear, and his hair changes to a light-green color. In addition, although it has similarities to the Super Saiyan Third Grade form, and was referred to as such by one source, it also possessed tremendous speed, which could be considered "Ultra-First Class",which was demonstrated with his effortlessly dodging rapid attacks from a combined front of both Goku and Piccolo at one point, as well as a clothesline maneuver he performed on Goku late in their battle.
Son Goten 孙悟天

Trunks 特兰克斯

Trunks (トランクス Torankusu) is a Human-type Earthling/Saiyan hybrid, the firstborn child and only son of Vegeta and Bulma and the older brother of Bulla.

Broly - Legendary Super Saiyan 传说中的超级赛亚人
布罗利变身的传超形态，官方将该形态以角色名称取名，既布罗利型 ，也叫超级赛亚人（最终形态）。拥有极其可怕恐怖的战斗力。嗜血狂暴好战拥有能一击毁灭行星的力量。传超变身后头发偏绿色而不是普通超级赛亚人的金色，爆气时发金，变身后瞳孔会消失，肌肉也会急剧膨胀，并且身高爆增30cm，外表类似“超级赛亚人第三阶段”，但性质上不同于前者，这个形态下力量与速度都会显著增加，不会给身体带来任何负担，体力也不会加速流失，并且拥有极高的防御力，掉入岩浆都不会死。
Broly awakened this form as a result of Frieza destroying Planet Vegeta. As the Legendary Super Saiyan, Broly's strength and speed greatly excel that of any Super Saiyan shown previously. Broly's height and muscle mass are also greatly increased after transforming; the former reaching 9'11" (302cm) in height. His power level also rises on several occasions found throughout the film, though whether this is caused by the form or is simply Broly increasing his power level is left unclear. Additionally, the irises and pupils in his eyes disappear, and his hair changes to a light-green color. In addition, although it has similarities to the Super Saiyan Third Grade form, and was referred to as such by one source, it also possessed tremendous speed, which could be considered "Ultra-First Class",which was demonstrated with his effortlessly dodging rapid attacks from a combined front of both Goku and Piccolo at one point, as well as a clothesline maneuver he performed on Goku late in their battle.
