We often heard the Chinese saying that "Eight Immortals, each of them has their capabilities" but one other common saying regarding the Eight Immortals would be Drunken Boxing.
In Chinese Wushu Boxing, we categorize into 7 Major boxing sects; The most famous Shaolin Fist, Eight-Diagram Palm, Taichiquan, Emeiquan, Nanquan, Xinyiquan, and Wudang Quan. While Wudang Quan's "Wudang" is often linked to Wudang Mountains and legendary Chinese Taoist Zhang San Feng (who is believed to invented Taichi), it may not be a Taoism boxing. When it comes to martial arts, it's not linked to religion. Muay Thai is practiced around the world too. Regarding Drunken Boxing: Eight Immortals, it's under one of Wudang Quan, even though Shaolin has it too (There's a saying that all Kungfu comes from Shaolin).

A 1998 TV Drama series produced by Television Corporation of Singapore (TCS, later renamed Mediacorp in 1999) in collaboration with two mainland Chinese companies(Sichuan TV Drama Production Centre and Jiangsu World Film and Television Production Centre). It is based on stories about the Eight Immortals (八仙) in Chinese mythology and adapted from the 16th-century Chinese novel Dong You Ji (东游记; Journey to the East) by Wu Yuantai (吴元泰).
One of the earlier multi-country collaborations, involved casts members from Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and mainland China. It was a hit and remains popular, the set was filmed in Singapore, Malaysia, and Jiuzhai Valley (Sichuan, China) famous for its heavenly scenes.

Legend of the Eight Immortals 东游记 1998 is based on stories about the Eight Immortals (八仙) in Chinese mythology
The Universe is under threat by a demonic cult led by Tongtian Jiaozhu. The Jade Emperor, the supreme ruler of Heaven, orders Immortal Donghua to find seven other worthy beings and form a team known as the Eight Immortals to counter the cult. After the first five members – Tieguai Li, Han Zhongli, Zhang Guolao, Lan Caihe, and He Xiangu – have joined, Donghua chooses to undergo reincarnation to help the remaining two members – Han Xiangzi and Cao Guojiu – achieve immortality faster. He is reincarnated as Lü Dongbin and serves as the team leader. However, he has to overcome his romantic entanglements with Peony Fairy because the romance between immortals is forbidden by Heaven's laws. At one point, Tongtian Jiaozhu implants a "blood curse" in Lü Dongbin which causes the latter to lose control of his senses and go rogue. Tongtian Jiaozhu is later betrayed and killed by his treacherous follower, Pangolin, who absorbs his powers. Pangolin, who has a crush on He Xiangu, cleverly manipulates the Eight Immortals and causes them to turn against each other and sow discord between them and other deities. The Eight Immortals combine their strengths to defeat Pangolin and the evil forces and bring peace to the Universe.

我小时候对这位演员非常有印象，因为当时1996年有一部很红的新加坡剧情喜剧《敢敢做个开心人》 Made In Singapore. 剧中那位老板就是麦皓为饰演的郭水龙(老Hero)。同一部剧中也有我们熟悉的黄金来（黄文永饰）和Mr Kiasu原版，Lobang King祖师爷，Ah Bee(周初明饰）。
