Dragon Ball Super (ドラゴンボール超スーパー Doragon Bōru Sūpā) (commonly abbreviated as DBS) is the fourth anime installment in the Dragon Ball franchise, which ran from July 5th, 2015 to March 25th, 2018. It is set between Dragon Ball Z episodes 288 and 289 and is the first Dragon Ball television series featuring a new storyline in 18 years since the final episode of Dragon Ball GT in 1997. A Dragon Ball Super manga was being produced alongside the anime. The series is developed by Toei, in a similar process to the Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT animes and Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ films. The series plot takes place after the Kid Buu Saga, in between the ten-year gap towards the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament.

Universe Survival Saga 宇宙生存篇

The Universe Survival Saga (宇う宙ちゅうサバイバル編へん Uchū Sabaibaru Hen) is the fifth major saga of the Dragon Ball Super anime and the fourth major saga of the Dragon Ball Super manga under the name Tournament of Power Saga (力ちからの大会たいかい編へん Chikara no Taikai Hen). The Tournament of Power planned by Zeno begins, with multiple universes partaking—with each universe having gathered a team of 10 fighters who battle alongside each other on a stage. The arc features continuous debuts of elites from each universe. However, this also proves to be the beginning of universal destruction. If a team were to lose, meaning having all of its members eliminated, then the universe they come from will be destroyed immediately. The first part of this story arc is referred to as the Universe Survival Saga: Prelude, the second is the Universe Survival Saga: Gathering, the third is the Tournament of Power Saga and the fourth is the Tournament of Power Saga: Climax.

剧情简介

在第六宇宙篇的结尾时，全王提出“下回把全部宇宙的选手都聚集起来，来办一个比赛试试看哦”。孙悟空为了让全王实现这个诺言而不顾警告去会见全王，于是大神官招唤全部宇宙的界王神和破坏神前来，其中还包含第11宇宙傲兵队队长同时也是破坏神候补塔破。在提出破坏神决斗和观看孙悟空和塔破的对决后还是提议举办了比赛，因全王本意就有让平均水准低于七的宇宙消失，除了第一、第五、第八、第十二宇宙高于7免参加以外其余宇宙如果输了这场比赛，所在的整个宇宙将会被全王毁灭。但是如果赢得了这场比赛，就可以获得超级七龙珠向超级神龙许愿的资格，同时所属宇宙也可以不必被免除。孙悟空感觉事态严重于是邀请地球上的武术高手们参加比赛，孙悟空与孙悟饭、贝吉塔、天津饭、小林、短笛、龟仙人、人造人17号, 18号以及和布欧先生。但是布欧先生因为正在睡觉，所以孙悟空决定把布欧先生的名额让给地狱里的弗利萨，这几名来自地球和地狱的武术高手，代表整个第七宇宙参加这次的力量大赛。经过一轮激战后，第九、十、二、六、四、三宇宙按次序消灭。最后悟空和弗利萨和第十一宇宙的最强战士-吉连一起同归于尽，实际上是17号诈死与弗利萨号合谋，孙悟空并不知情，第十一宇宙最后也被消灭，并由17号获得超级七龙珠并许愿恢复所有被消灭的宇宙。第七宇宙水平也从倒数第二升格为倒数第三。

Sidra 西打拉
西打拉，男，日本经典动漫《龙珠超》及其衍生作品中的角色。第9宇宙的破坏神。动画版有着优柔寡断的性格，无法下手破坏不合格的星球和人类。偶尔会由于作为义务进行无差别破坏而觉得心烦。漫画版是一位工作认真负责的神明。 在未来时空中，西打拉因对应界王神洛而被黑悟空与扎马斯②所杀而死亡，对应天使亦沉睡。《龙珠超》中所有的破坏神与天使的名字均改编自酒名。西打拉（シドラ/Shidora，Sidra）来源于西打酒（シードル/Shidoru，Cidre），即苹果酒。
Sidra (シドラ Shidora) is the God of Destruction of Universe 9. He is accompanied by his attendant and martial arts teacher, Mohito. Sidra is a short and pudgy olive green skinned individual with long, orange hair, a mustache and a beard. He has a humanoid appearance with traits resembling a Viking. Unlike Champa, a God of Destruction with a similar build, he wears a white short-sleeved shirt under his God of Destruction attire, which is purple in color.

Mohito 莫吉托
莫吉托，日本经典动漫《龙珠超》中的虚拟角色。第9宇宙的向导天使，对无能的界王神洛而和破坏神西打拉感到无语。是知性的天才儿童类型。用冷漠的视线旁观。在未来时空中，因破坏神西打拉死亡，而沉睡。《龙珠超》中所有的破坏神与天使的名字均来自酒名。莫吉托（マルカリータ，Marcarita）来源于莫吉托酒（Mojito）。
Mohito (モヒイト Mohi'ito) is the Angel of Universe 9 and is the attendant and martial arts teacher of Sidra. He appears in Dragon Ball Super during the Universe Survival Saga. Mohito is a very tall and slim individual. He has pale blue skin like most Angels and shoulder length white hair parted at the middle. He wears black and blue robes with designs similar to Whis and carries a staff.

Roh 洛而
洛而，男，日本经典动漫《龙珠超》及其衍生作品中的角色。第9宇宙的界王神，居住在界王神界。动画版性格傲慢、阴险，为人卑鄙无耻，稍微有点把其他宇宙的成员当成笨蛋的倾向，从在在力之大会开始前奎特拉计划刺杀弗利萨时，他和西打拉不思考对错就听从了奎特拉的建议可以看出。漫画版心地很好，在西打拉准备破坏损坏严重的星球时希望能拯救废弃之星。在未来时空中，因被黑悟空与扎马斯②所杀，而使第9宇宙破坏神西打拉死亡，天使亦沉睡。留有白色庞克头，青色皮肤，耳带坡塔拉耳环，身着界王神统一制服，身材中等，拥有一些超能力。
Roh (ロウ Rō) is the Supreme Kai of Universe 9. Roh is a short humanoid with a lean build and light green skin with a flat, barely visible, nose. Like most other Core People, he has pointed ears. He wears red Potara earrings, and his white hair is styled in a mohawk. His eyes are purple, and he wears traditional Supreme Kai clothing.

Bergamo 贝尔盖莫

Bergamo (ベルガモ Berugamo), known as "Bergamo the Crusher" (潰しのベルガモ Tsubushi no Berugamo) in the anime, is a member of Trio of Danger, a team of sibling fighters from Universe 9. He is the eldest brother of the trio. Bergamo is a smooth-talking, egotistical, and honorable fighter. Bergamo is the oldest, tallest and most muscular member of the Trio of Danger. He has steel-blue-colored fur and wears a red scarf, bandages on both forearms, armbands on both arms, brown pants with a belt, and a pair of light brown boots that are tightened up with three belts each. It is possible Bergamo, Lavender, and Basil from Universe 9 are of the same species as Majora and Shosa from their counterpart Universe 4. Like his brothers, Bergamo's general appearance resembled that of a humanoid canid, in Bergamo's case he resembles a Grey Wolf.Bergamo's name is a pun on Bergamot, an alternate name for the Monarda flower; a culinary herb from the Lamiaceae family. He also shares the same name as a city in Italy.

Lavender 拉凡达

Lavender (ラベンダ Rabenda), known as "Poison Blow Lavender" (有毒なのラベンダ Yūdokuna no Rabenda) in the anime, is the middle brother of Trio of Danger, a team of fighters from Universe 9 chosen to participate in the Zeno Expo and the Tournament of Power. Lavender is sadistic, psychotic, and versatile. Lavender has gold fur with a white muzzle and chest. He wears green pants with suspenders, and sports a slightly sadistic and deranged facial expression, though it is most likely to be fierce. His build is hunched-over and lanky, with seemingly abnormally long arms. He seems to be very short, due to the fact that he is almost always slouching, because of this, he appears to be only two thirds the size of Gohan, and while standing still he appears to be as short as half the size. Nevertheless, while fighting, it is shown he is actually roughly the same size as his opponent. He most closely resembles a Coyote. Lavender's name comes from "lavender", a culinary herb of the Lamiaceae family. It is ironic he is named that due to the herb being sometimes used to remove toxins whereas he induces them.

Basil 巴兹尔

Basil (バジル Bajiru), known as "Basil the Kicker" (蹴りのバジル Keri no Bajiru, lit. Basil of the Kicks) in the anime, is the youngest brother and a member of Trio of Danger, a team of sibling fighters from Universe 9. Basil is ruthless, arrogant, and enjoys toying with his opponents. Basil has red fur and wears a torn muffler, black gloves and red boots. His eyes were yellow and turn purple when in his muscular state. His body was also bulkier in that state as well as his fur turning more of a pinkish color. He resembles a Maned Wolf which has the appearance of a fox sporting long legs. Basil's name comes from "basil", a type of culinary herb of the Lamiaceae family.

Hyssop 西索普

Hyssop (ヒソップ Hisoppu) is a warrior from Universe 9 and a member of Team Universe 9. Hyssop is a bluish purple humanoid with a large spiky body, tiny black, beady eyes and a jagged mouth. He wears a necklace with two green beads and a red bead around it. His clothing consists of being bare chested with tannish yellow pants, brown boots and a beige belt with an ornate symbol placed in front.Hyssop's name comes from the plant Hyssopus.

Sorrel 索蕾露

Sorrel (ソレル Soreru) is a warrior from Universe 9 and a member of Team Universe 9.Sorrel is a white furred anthropomorphic female rabbit. She has red eyes, a pink nose, seemingly short height and it's unknown if she's still in her young years. She wears a large orange cap that has a long, yellow stripe going down the middle, red scarf, ripped yellow shirt with one brown strap, a black shirt underneath her ripped shirt, brown gloves, and green shorts with an opening for her Tail.Sorrel's name is derived from Garden or Common Sorrel, a salad vegetable that is associated with rabbits.

Chappil 查皮尔

Chappil (チャッピル Chappiru) is a warrior from Universe 9 and a member of Team Universe 9. He is a metallic dragon-like alien who is nicknamed the "Iron Skin Battler" due to his metal skin. Chappil resembles a bipedal dragon with shiny metal scales. He appears to wear nothing but a shirt decorated with puffy sleeves and a monster motif. Chappil's design has similarities to a humanoid dragon or a gargoyle. He is very confident due to his defensive capabilities.Chappil's name comes from Chervil or Chepil.

Oregano 奥勒冈

Oregano (オレガノ Oregano) is a warrior from Universe 9 and a member of Team Universe 9. Oregano is humanoid alien with pale red skin with curved purple markings in his neck and chest area, and wavy white hair. He wears a pair of baggy gray pants with a golden belt with a blue gem in the center and similar patterned ankle bracelets and is barefoot.Oregano's name is the same as the oregano herb.

Hop 豪普

Hop (ホップ Hoppu) is a warrior from Universe 9 and a member of Team Universe 9. Hop is a feline humanoid female warrior with dull-purple fur and yellow eyes. She has long red nails that she uses as weapons, a long dull-purple tail with a bluish-purple tip. She wears a black crop-top with silver accents with sleeves ending arm bracelets with spikes and a pair of pants with a silver belt with round discs and ending in a similar spike ankle bracelets.Hop's name is derived from the plant Humulus lupulus, also known as Hops.

Comfrey 康弗里

Comfrey (コンフリー Konfurī) is a warrior from Universe 9 and a member of Team Universe 9. Comfrey is a green humanoid amphibian fighter with fin ears, orange eyes, and purple prominent lips. He is bare-chested and wears dark pants with a bluish sash draped around his waist and is secured by a brown belt with a red gem-center. He bares some resemblance to the Fishman race.His name is the same as comfrey (also comphrey), which is a common name for plants in the genus Symphytum.

Roselle 洛赛鲁

Roselle (ローゼル Rōzeru) is a warrior from Universe 9 and a member of Team Universe 9. Roselle is a humanoid bat that greatly resembles a gargoyle or winged demon in appearance. He has green skin and an extra eye on his forehead, which is red in color. He wears beige colored shorts.His name is the same as Roselle, a species of Hibiscus probably native to West Africa.

Boss of Universe 9's Assassins 刺客老大
The Boss of Universe 9's Assassins is an assassin and leader of a group of assassins hired by Sidra and Roh in Universe 9 to kill Universe 7's Frieza.He is a fat brown anthropomorphic bulldog. He wears a purple and yellow lined hat with three white rounded parts on top, purple and yellow lined armbands, a purple and yellow lined belt, baggy white pants, and grey shoes.The assassin leader is rather strategic, creating two copies of Sidra's Energy of Destruction to use as decoys to trick Frieza into thinking he had eliminated it so that he would drop his guard and he could attack him with the real one.

Universe 9's Assassins 刺客
Universe 9's Assassins are a group hired by Sidra and Roh in order to attempt to kill Goku and Frieza, Team Universe 7's competitors, before the Tournament and thus stop them from being able to participate in the Tournament of Power.
