Dragon Ball Z is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation. Part of the Dragon Ball media franchise, it is the sequel to the 1986 Dragon Ball anime series and adapts the latter 325 chapters of the original Dragon Ball manga series created by Akira Toriyama. The series aired in Japan on Fuji TV from April 1989 to January 1996 and was later dubbed for broadcast in at least 81 countries worldwide. Dragon Ball Z continues the adventures of Goku in his adult life as he and his companions defend the Earth against villains including aliens (Vegeta, Frieza), androids (Cell), and magical creatures (Majin Buu). At the same time, the story parallels the life of his son, Gohan, as well as the development of his rivals, Piccolo and Vegeta. Due to the success of the anime in the United States, the manga chapters making up its story were initially released by Viz Media under the Dragon Ball Z title. The anime's popularity has also spawned numerous media and merchandise that has come to represent the majority of content within the Dragon Ball franchise. Dragon Ball Z remains a cultural icon through numerous adaptations and re-releases, including a remastered broadcast titled Dragon Ball Z Kai. Dragon Ball Z has since been followed by two sequel series: Dragon Ball GT (1996–1997) and Dragon Ball Super (2015–2018).

Kid Buu Saga
The Kid Buu Saga is the eighteenth saga in the Dragon Ball Z series. The manga volume that it is made up of is "Goodbye, Dragon World". The saga deals with Goku and Vegeta's final battle against Kid Buu, the original form of Majin Buu. This saga originally aired in Japan in late 1995 and aired in the United States in early 2003. The 30th Anniversary timeline splits the final four episodes, set after the ten-year gap containing Dragon Ball Super, into a separate Peaceful World Saga.
魔人布欧篇第220话~第291话
悟空因为天下第一武道会，在这个世界复活一天，和其他同伴参加天下第一武道会。在比赛中途，东界王神向悟空等人寻求协助，告知魔导师巴菲迪企图使魔人布欧复活。但是由于贝吉塔受到巴菲迪的魔法控制的关系，与悟空展开决斗使魔人布欧得以复活。布欧后来产生异变后便找到短笛、悟天、特兰克斯展开战斗，后来悟空、悟饭也在中途参战，但最后除悟空外都被布欧吸收，身陷危机的悟空最后与贝吉塔共同打倒布欧。在打败魔人布欧的十年之后，第28届天下第一武道会开幕，悟空成为爷爷，悟饭成为学者和比迪丽结婚后生下一个孩子：小芳。悟空正在训练小芳和悟天武功，贝吉塔要求长期疏于修练的特兰克斯也一起参加武道大会。在大会比赛过程中，悟空带着魔人布欧的转世：欧布展开修行之旅，《七龙珠Z》的故事也到此结束；以及5年后紧接着是《七龙珠GT》的故事。

Kid Buu (魔ま人じんブウ （純じゅん粋すい） Majin Bū (Junsui), lit. "Demon Person Boo (Pure)") is the original, pure form of Majin Buu. Unlike his other forms, this form of Buu's thought process is seen to be irrational and spontaneous, even destroying his own body to destroy the Earth. Although he appears smaller than any other form, he is more dangerous than any other forms of Buu due to his full relentless evil and unpredictability. He is also completely free of restraint and has no trace of sanity and, because of this, is extremely volatile. He retains his childish personality, becoming amused and laughing hysterically at his own destruction of entire worlds. He is the main antagonist for the Kid Buu Saga, the final antagonist of the Majin Buu Saga, and the overall final antagonist of Dragon Ball Z. After his death, Kid Buu reincarnated into Uub (ウーブ Ūbu, lit. "Oob"), with Kid Buu hidden inside his being.
Vegito 贝吉特
贝吉特，日本漫画《龙珠》及其衍生作品中的角色，是由孙悟空与贝吉塔使用“坡塔拉耳环”合体诞生的究极战士。根据大全集及超兴奋指南设定，贝吉特是天下无敌、宇宙最强的战士
Vegito (ベジット Bejitto), also known as Vegerot in the Viz English manga, is the resulting fusion between Goku and Vegeta by the use of the Potara Earrings. Vegito wields tremendous power, and like his Fusion Dance counterpart Gogeta, he is regarded as one of the mightiest warriors in the entire Dragon Ball franchise. Vegito first appeared at the end of "Union of Rivals" to start battling with Super Buu, with his second appearance in the next episode "Meet Vegito" as the main protagonist throughout the entire episode. His debut in Dragon Ball Super was many years later to fight and attempt to defeat Fused Zamasu, though they quickly defused due to over-usage of power.
Grand Supreme Kai 大界王神
The Grand Supreme Kai (大だい界かい王おう神しん Dai Kaiōshin, lit. "Great God of Kings of Worlds"), known as Daikaioh in the initial Funimation dub, is the highest of all Supreme Kais and ruled over the entire Universe 7 before the series takes place. He still exists through Good Buu (魔ま人じんブウ（善ぜん） Majin Bū (Zen), lit. "Demon Person Boo (Good)") and briefly acted through him thanks to being awakened to help stop Moro.
South Supreme Kai 南界王神
South Supreme Kai (南みなみの界かい王おう神しん Minami no Kaiōshin, lit. "South God of Kings of Worlds") is the ruler of the South Area and the most powerful Supreme Kai of Universe 7. South Supreme Kai lived a peaceful life on the Sacred World of the Kai with the other Supreme Kais. 10 million years ago, South Supreme Kai and Grand Supreme Kai confronted the evil wizard Moro after he destroyed the Iragi Star System and brought about the mass extinction of life on 320 planets. However, Moro proved too powerful for them forcing Grand Supreme Kai to use up all of his god powers to seal away Moro's magic allowing the planet destroying wizard to be imprisoned by the Galactic Police. After both West and North Supreme Kais was killed by Majin Buu, South Supreme Kai was the next Kai to face the creature in combat. He managed to fight evenly with Buu, countering his attacks, landing a headbutt, and managing to rip the monster's arm off, which genuinely hurt and damaged Buu. However, Buu soon gained the advantage, dodging the Kai's Energy Sphere and dealing severe damage to him with just a single kick to the back. South Supreme Kai was ultimately defeated after the creature absorbed him with a sneak attack; the absorption of South Supreme Kai transformed Buu into a large, hulking Majin. Due to being trapped within Buu over the next several million years, South Supreme Kai is permanently fused within the creature's being, never to be seen again. This also happens to Grand Supreme Kai, who is also permanently fused within Buu and becomes the basis for the creature's innocent form.
North Supreme Kai 北界王神
The North Supreme Kai (北きたの界かい王おう神しん Kita no Kaiōshin, lit. "North God of Kings of Worlds") is one of the rulers of Universe 7. The North Supreme Kai lived a peaceful life on the Sacred World of the Kai with the other Supreme Kais until he was killed by Majin Buu. In the anime he was depicted peacefully fishing on fine days. After West Supreme Kai was killed by Majin Buu, North Supreme Kai was Buu's second target on the Sacred World of the Kais. When Buu attacked, they fought in a foggy and rocky place. North Supreme Kai cut Kid Buu in half with his sword, but Buu was more than North Supreme Kai could handle and got blasted by Kid Buu's Vanishing Beam, dying instantly.
West Supreme Kai 西界王神
The West Supreme Kai (西にしの界かい王おう神しん Nishi no Kaiōshin, lit. "West God of Kings of Worlds") is the ruler of the Western Quadrant of Universe 7. The West Supreme Kai lived a peaceful life on the Sacred World of the Kai with the other Supreme Kais of Universe 7 until she was killed by Majin Buu. In the anime, she was shown to be the only female of the five Supreme Kais. She was a young, beautiful, and playful goddess. When Majin Buu and Bibidi attacked the Sacred World of the Kai, West Supreme Kai was the first to fight against Buu. They fought in an arctic area. Even when fighting at her best, she was still no match for Buu, and was easily killed with a Ki Blast to the back.
Bibidi
Bibidi (ビビディ Bibidi) is an evil alien wizard. A short and stubby villain, he was responsible for awakening the purely-evil Majin Buu millions of years prior to the beginning of Dragon Ball. He is not shown in the manga, though due to Babidi being his duplicate, it is likely they were identical in appearance. In his anime-only appearance, Bibidi appears with a similar frame to his "son" Babidi, but with greener and less wrinkled skin. He wears a black cap with the Demon mark on it, an orange robe, and a dark blue outfit with a yellow buckle.
Android 17 人造人17号

Android 17 (人じん造ぞう人にん間げん１７号ごう Jinzōningen Jū Nana-Gō), Lapis (ラピス Rapisu) when he was an ordinary human, is the younger twin brother of Android 18 and Dr. Gero's seventeenth android creation, designed to serve Gero's vendetta against Goku. Despite his interests not initially deviating from this expectation, Android 17 takes it upon himself to kill Dr. Gero, who is uncooperative with Android 18's curiosity in activating Android 16 and deemed inferior by 17.
Launch 兰琪
日本经典动漫《龙珠》及其衍生作品中的女性角色。龟仙人对孙悟空和小林提出了拜师条件——找个漂亮女孩。于是兰琪闪亮登场，先是在酒馆打喷嚏大打出手（揭示出可爱的兰琪一打喷嚏性格就会变的狂暴，可以用头发的颜色来区分），之后是火箭炮炸火车窃取财物，正被警察追赶，被悟空搭救逃出生天。之后一直和龟仙人住在龟仙屋。在第二十三届武道会结束后，离开龟仙屋，去找天津饭，后来在悟空为了打败布欧的元气中贡献了自己的力量。 Lunch (ランチ, Ranchi), named Launch in the Funimation dub and Marilynn in the Harmony Gold dub, is a woman who Goku and Krillin rescue and bring to Master Roshi in exchange for him to train them. She has a split personality where she changes between a nice, polite, blue-haired woman and a trigger-happy blonde bad girl every time she sneezes. As her bad form is a known criminal, she decides to stay with Master Roshi, and becomes his maid. Launch's blonde persona develops an attraction towards Tien Shinhan's fierce attitude. She is not seen after the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament but is said to be chasing after Tien Shinhan. In the anime she is seen in a few Dragon Ball Z filler episodes during the fight with the Saiyans, and is seen again at the series' end helping contribute energy to Goku's Genki-Dama to defeat Buu.
Android 8 人造人8号
Android 8 (人造人間８号 Jinzōningen Hachi-Gō), who goes by the name Eighter (ハッチャン Hacchan) as suggested by Goku, is Dr. Gero's eighth Android creation. He is designed to serve the Red Ribbon Army but is seen as faulty because of his good-spirited nature.
Suno
Suno (スノ Suno) is a young girl who lives in Jingle Village. Goku met her while he was looking for the Dragon Balls after the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament.
Nam
Nam (ナム Namu) is a warrior from a desert village that competes in World Martial Arts Tournaments. Nam is killed by Majin Buu but he is revived by Porunga and contributes to Goku's Super Spirit Bomb to defeat Buu.
Giran
Giran (ギラン Giran) is a Giras that entered the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament. Although he is initially hostile against Goku and his companions, he later reforms and comes to respect Goku and even cooperates with him on more than one occasion. Giran is ruthless, intelligent, and strategic. Years later, Giran dies from either Super Buu's Human Extinction Attack or Kid Buu's Planet Burst. He was revived by Porunga along with everybody else killed by Buu and contributed to Goku's Super Spirit Bomb to defeat Buu, along with his friends.
Upa 乌帕
乌巴，日本经典动漫《龙珠》中的人物，是主角孙悟空少年时代结识的朋友，与父亲勃拉居住在圣地卡林塔。外表柔弱，内心坚强，希望以后能够变得像悟空和父亲一样强。
Upa (ウパ Upa) is a member of the native tribe whose members serve as the guardians of Korin Tower. His father, Bora, is the chief of the tribe. Upa and his father appear when they are giving energy for Goku's Super Spirit Bomb to defeat Kid Buu. During the Kid Buu Saga, a woman seen behind Upa is holding an infant that strongly resembles him as a child, possibly an indication he has married, or his father has re-married and had a baby. The same woman with a now teenage boy can be seen in Dragon Ball GT.
Bora 勃拉
勃拉，日本经典动漫《龙珠》及其衍生作品中的角色，外貌特征类似于印第安人（龙珠世界观不同于现实，自然也不会叫印第安人），是保护圣地卡林塔的高大战士，也是乌巴的父亲。勃拉非常强壮，当耶罗上校（也被译成黄大佐）带着一队军队来向他要龙珠的时候，勃拉警告这些侵略者：为了保护圣地，他将会杀死他们。因为孙悟空从红缎带军手中解救了他的儿子乌帕，所以他和悟空变成了朋友。后来，他被残忍的杀手桃白白杀害了。悟空在泣不成声的乌帕面前发誓，一定会集齐所有的龙珠让他的爸爸复活。勃拉年轻时，也曾经试过攀登卡林塔，但是最终还是失败了。
Bora (ボラ) is a tall, muscular man who resides in the Sacred Land of Korin with his son Upa, in a tepee at the base of the Korin Tower. Bora later appears with his tribe in the Kid Buu Saga, when he, Upa and other people give energy to Goku's Super Spirit Bomb. There is an implication that Bora or Upa has wed and had a child, as the woman by their side is holding an infant bearing a striking resemblance to Upa in his childhood.
Spike the Devil Man
Spike the Devil Man, also known simply as Devilman ( アックマン Akkuman), is a devil from Hell who works as one of Fortuneteller Baba's fighters. He was once the strongest of Baba's fighters but was bumped down one rank by Grandpa Gohan.
Bandages the Mummy
Bandages the Mummy (ミイラくん Mīra-kun, lit. "Mummy-kun") is a living dead who works as one of Fortuneteller Baba's fighters.
Farmer 農夫
The Farmer (農夫 Nōfu) is an ostrich farmer. He is the first human to encounter the Saiyan warrior Raditz upon his arrival on Earth, and the first person shown to have a confirmed Power Level in Dragon Ball Z. In the anime during the Great Saiyaman Saga, the farmer can once again be seen on his farm moving hay from a pile to his Chevrolet. While this farmer looks like the original farmer (and later "hunter")
Sharpner
Sharpner (シャプナー Shapunā) is an athletic student who is friends with Erasa, Videl, and Gohan at Orange Star High School. He is portrayed as a stereotypical jock who considers himself better than the nerdier Gohan. However, he cares about his friends.
Erasa
Erasa (イレーザ Irēza) is one of the Orange Star High School students who are from Satan City. Normally, she is a very talkative person and she spends a lot of time with Videl, her best friend, along with Gohan and Sharpner. Erasa is a blonde girl with a lined green tube top and blue jeans. During the tournament, she wore a different look consisting of a cropped tube top showing off some cleavage from the stomach & upper back and brown shorts.
King Furry
King Furry, known as the King (国王 Koku-Ō) in the Japanese version, is an anthropomorphic dog who is the current King of Earth during the Dragon Ball series. He assumed his position in Age 733. The king is described as a splendid person, and is one of the few citizens of Earth who knows that Goku is the planet's true hero rather than Mr. Satan.

人造人17号，日本经典动漫《龙珠》及其衍生作品中的角色。本名拉彼斯，是一位围着红围巾的帅气男孩，后来被格罗博士捉去改造成人造人。贝吉塔等人追到研究所时被放出来。在杀死格罗博士获得自由后，为了杀孙悟空而跟16号、18号一起上路。后来在16号和沙鲁战斗中，不幸被沙鲁吸收。在沙鲁被孙悟饭消灭后死去，后被神龙复活。复活后成为王立自然公园动物保护区里的职业护林员，并与一名女性动物学者结婚生子。在《龙珠超》的宇宙生存篇中17号成为代表第七宇宙参赛的10名参赛选手之一，表现出色。
Android 17 (人じん造ぞう人にん間げん１７号ごう Jinzōningen Jū Nana-Gō), Lapis (ラピス Rapisu) when he was an ordinary human, is the younger twin brother of Android 18 and Dr. Gero's seventeenth android creation, designed to serve Gero's vendetta against Goku. Despite his interests not initially deviating from this expectation, Android 17 takes it upon himself to kill Dr. Gero, who is uncooperative with Android 18's curiosity in activating Android 16 and deemed inferior by 17.
Launch 兰琪
日本经典动漫《龙珠》及其衍生作品中的女性角色。龟仙人对孙悟空和小林提出了拜师条件——找个漂亮女孩。于是兰琪闪亮登场，先是在酒馆打喷嚏大打出手（揭示出可爱的兰琪一打喷嚏性格就会变的狂暴，可以用头发的颜色来区分），之后是火箭炮炸火车窃取财物，正被警察追赶，被悟空搭救逃出生天。之后一直和龟仙人住在龟仙屋。在第二十三届武道会结束后，离开龟仙屋，去找天津饭，后来在悟空为了打败布欧的元气中贡献了自己的力量。 Lunch (ランチ, Ranchi), named Launch in the Funimation dub and Marilynn in the Harmony Gold dub, is a woman who Goku and Krillin rescue and bring to Master Roshi in exchange for him to train them. She has a split personality where she changes between a nice, polite, blue-haired woman and a trigger-happy blonde bad girl every time she sneezes. As her bad form is a known criminal, she decides to stay with Master Roshi, and becomes his maid. Launch's blonde persona develops an attraction towards Tien Shinhan's fierce attitude. She is not seen after the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament but is said to be chasing after Tien Shinhan. In the anime she is seen in a few Dragon Ball Z filler episodes during the fight with the Saiyans, and is seen again at the series' end helping contribute energy to Goku's Genki-Dama to defeat Buu.
Android 8 人造人8号
Android 8 (人造人間８号 Jinzōningen Hachi-Gō), who goes by the name Eighter (ハッチャン Hacchan) as suggested by Goku, is Dr. Gero's eighth Android creation. He is designed to serve the Red Ribbon Army but is seen as faulty because of his good-spirited nature.
Suno
Suno (スノ Suno) is a young girl who lives in Jingle Village. Goku met her while he was looking for the Dragon Balls after the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament.
Nam
Nam (ナム Namu) is a warrior from a desert village that competes in World Martial Arts Tournaments. Nam is killed by Majin Buu but he is revived by Porunga and contributes to Goku's Super Spirit Bomb to defeat Buu.
Giran
Giran (ギラン Giran) is a Giras that entered the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament. Although he is initially hostile against Goku and his companions, he later reforms and comes to respect Goku and even cooperates with him on more than one occasion. Giran is ruthless, intelligent, and strategic. Years later, Giran dies from either Super Buu's Human Extinction Attack or Kid Buu's Planet Burst. He was revived by Porunga along with everybody else killed by Buu and contributed to Goku's Super Spirit Bomb to defeat Buu, along with his friends.
Upa 乌帕
乌巴，日本经典动漫《龙珠》中的人物，是主角孙悟空少年时代结识的朋友，与父亲勃拉居住在圣地卡林塔。外表柔弱，内心坚强，希望以后能够变得像悟空和父亲一样强。
Upa (ウパ Upa) is a member of the native tribe whose members serve as the guardians of Korin Tower. His father, Bora, is the chief of the tribe. Upa and his father appear when they are giving energy for Goku's Super Spirit Bomb to defeat Kid Buu. During the Kid Buu Saga, a woman seen behind Upa is holding an infant that strongly resembles him as a child, possibly an indication he has married, or his father has re-married and had a baby. The same woman with a now teenage boy can be seen in Dragon Ball GT.
Bora 勃拉
勃拉，日本经典动漫《龙珠》及其衍生作品中的角色，外貌特征类似于印第安人（龙珠世界观不同于现实，自然也不会叫印第安人），是保护圣地卡林塔的高大战士，也是乌巴的父亲。勃拉非常强壮，当耶罗上校（也被译成黄大佐）带着一队军队来向他要龙珠的时候，勃拉警告这些侵略者：为了保护圣地，他将会杀死他们。因为孙悟空从红缎带军手中解救了他的儿子乌帕，所以他和悟空变成了朋友。后来，他被残忍的杀手桃白白杀害了。悟空在泣不成声的乌帕面前发誓，一定会集齐所有的龙珠让他的爸爸复活。勃拉年轻时，也曾经试过攀登卡林塔，但是最终还是失败了。
Bora (ボラ) is a tall, muscular man who resides in the Sacred Land of Korin with his son Upa, in a tepee at the base of the Korin Tower. Bora later appears with his tribe in the Kid Buu Saga, when he, Upa and other people give energy to Goku's Super Spirit Bomb. There is an implication that Bora or Upa has wed and had a child, as the woman by their side is holding an infant bearing a striking resemblance to Upa in his childhood.
Spike the Devil Man
Spike the Devil Man, also known simply as Devilman ( アックマン Akkuman), is a devil from Hell who works as one of Fortuneteller Baba's fighters. He was once the strongest of Baba's fighters but was bumped down one rank by Grandpa Gohan.
Bandages the Mummy
Bandages the Mummy (ミイラくん Mīra-kun, lit. "Mummy-kun") is a living dead who works as one of Fortuneteller Baba's fighters.
Farmer 農夫
The Farmer (農夫 Nōfu) is an ostrich farmer. He is the first human to encounter the Saiyan warrior Raditz upon his arrival on Earth, and the first person shown to have a confirmed Power Level in Dragon Ball Z. In the anime during the Great Saiyaman Saga, the farmer can once again be seen on his farm moving hay from a pile to his Chevrolet. While this farmer looks like the original farmer (and later "hunter")
Sharpner
Sharpner (シャプナー Shapunā) is an athletic student who is friends with Erasa, Videl, and Gohan at Orange Star High School. He is portrayed as a stereotypical jock who considers himself better than the nerdier Gohan. However, he cares about his friends.
Erasa
Erasa (イレーザ Irēza) is one of the Orange Star High School students who are from Satan City. Normally, she is a very talkative person and she spends a lot of time with Videl, her best friend, along with Gohan and Sharpner. Erasa is a blonde girl with a lined green tube top and blue jeans. During the tournament, she wore a different look consisting of a cropped tube top showing off some cleavage from the stomach & upper back and brown shorts.
King Furry
King Furry, known as the King (国王 Koku-Ō) in the Japanese version, is an anthropomorphic dog who is the current King of Earth during the Dragon Ball series. He assumed his position in Age 733. The king is described as a splendid person, and is one of the few citizens of Earth who knows that Goku is the planet's true hero rather than Mr. Satan.
