Dragon Ball (Japanese: ドラゴンボール, Hepburn: Doragon Bōru) is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation. It is an adaptation of the first 194 chapters of the manga of the same name created by Akira Toriyama, which were published in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1984 to 1995. The anime is composed of 153 episodes that were broadcast on Fuji TV from February 1986 to April 1989. It was broadcast in 81 countries worldwide. It is part of the Dragon Ball media franchise.

《龙珠》（日语：ドラゴンボール，英语：Dragon Ball），改编自日本漫画作家鸟山明在集英社刊载的同名漫画《龙珠》第001话至第194话的内容的电视动画节目，被这个系列的影迷通称“无印”或“初代”。于1986年2月26日至1989年4月19日在富士电视台播放，总共153话播映结束之后的故事是由《龙珠Z》接续下去。

King Piccolo Saga
Goku and his friends reunite at the World Martial Arts Tournament three years later and meet Master Roshi's rival and Tao's brother, Master Shen, and his students Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu, who vow to exact revenge for Tao's apparent death at the hands of Goku. Krillin is murdered after the tournament and Goku tracks down and is defeated by his killer, Tambourine, and the Demon King Piccolo. The overweight samurai Yajirobe takes Goku to Korin, where he receives healing and a power boost. Meanwhile, Piccolo kills both Master Roshi and Chiaotzu, and uses the Dragon Balls to give himself eternal youth before destroying Shenron, which results in the Dragon Balls' destruction. As King Piccolo prepares to destroy West City as a show of force, Tien Shinhan arrives to confront him, but is defeated and nearly killed. Goku arrives in time to save Tien and then kills King Piccolo by blasting a hole through his chest.

Piccolo Junior Saga
Just before he dies, King Piccolo spawns his final son, Piccolo Junior. Korin informs Goku that Kami, the original creator of the Dragon Balls, might be able to restore Shenron and the Dragon Balls so that Goku can wish his fallen friends back to life, which he does. He also stays and trains under Kami for the next three years, once again reuniting with his friends at the Martial Arts Tournament, as well as a now-teenaged Chi-Chi and the revived Mercenary Tao. Piccolo Junior also enters the tournament to avenge his father's death, leading to the final battle between him and Goku. After Goku narrowly wins and defeats Piccolo Junior, he leaves with Chi-Chi and they get married, leading to the events of Dragon Ball Z.

天界修行篇第084话~第148话
3年后悟空与乐平及小林参加第22届天下第一武道会，但却遇上也有参加武道会的鹤仙人徒弟天津饭及饺子，最后悟空在决赛被打败，天津饭取得优胜，但此时小林却被短笛大魔王的手下杀害，悟空为此挑战短笛大魔王但是却战败。后来悟空接受加林神的试炼后，最后以龙拳成功打倒短笛大魔王，但是短笛大魔王却在临死前产下自己的儿子短笛，悟空也因此接受神的修练。三年后悟空等人一起参加第23届天下第一武道会，短笛也为父报仇而参加，最后悟空在决赛打败短笛取得优胜。

比克大魔王（比克一代），日本经典动漫《七龙珠》及其衍生作品中的反派角色，将整个世界推向恐怖边缘的邪恶魔王，是神仙的邪恶化身，后被孙悟空打败，临死前留下了最后王牌，就是至今的比克（笛子魔童，比克二代）。
King Piccolo, or Piccolo Daimaō (ピッコロ大魔王, Pikkoro Daimaō, "The Great Demon King Piccolo") in Japanese, was conceived by Toriyama as a truly evil opponent for Goku, as all his villains up to that point had something "likable" about them. He came into being when the Namekian who became Earth's guardian deity purged himself spiritually, and the negative energy took on a physical form after being cast off. He and the good half, Kami, are linked; if one dies, the other does as well. After being formed, he designates himself as the Great Demon King and terrorizes the world. He is imprisoned by Mutaito, the master of Master Roshi and Master Shen, in a rice cooker by the deadly Mafū-ba (魔封波, "Demon Seal" or "Evil Containment Wave") technique.

Piano 钢琴皮诺
钢琴是日本经典动漫《龙珠》及其衍生作品中的角色，辅佐比克大魔王的管家与智将，著名的狗腿子，长得像一只翼龙，实力不强，仗着比克大魔王的淫威飞扬跋扈，在比克大魔王攻入凯斯鲁金城王宫强迫国王下位自己登基后，要求国家厨师们专门为比克大魔王做饭，自己尝过后觉得不好吃就当垃圾破坏并丢弃。在孙悟空对战比克时因为主人比克被孙悟空压制，比克被悟空甩飞后身体砸向钢琴，钢琴被比克无意间压死。
Before Piccolo Jr., King Piccolo created several offspring to help him with his plans. His first shown offspring, Piano (ピアノ), helps him formulate his plan until he is killed when Goku knocks King Piccolo into him.

Tambourine 铃鼓丹巴林
铃鼓是日本漫画家鸟山明所作《七龙珠》中的角色。比克大魔王的手下，奉命杀死所有的武道家，在天下第一武道会结束后杀死小林，并抢走四星球与武道家名册。后孙悟空为小林报仇，铃鼓不敌孙悟空想要逃走，被孙悟空的龟派气功消灭。
Tambourine (タンバリン, Tanbarin) to hunt down the contenders of the World Martial Arts Tournament to keep the sealing technique from resurfacing. Tambourine kills Krillin and beats a weakened Goku, but, due to Goku's Saiyain physiology, the near-fatal beating raises his strength dramatically, and Goku vaporizes him with a Kamehameha in a rematch.

Cymbal 铜钹辛巴鲁
铜钹是日本经典动漫《龙珠》中的角色。比克大魔王的儿子，从魔王口中吐出的蛋直接孵化出来。魔王命令铜钹去收集龙珠，最后被弥次郎兵卫一剑斩成两段。
The third, Cymbal (シンバル, Shinbaru), is created to find Dragon Balls, but he is killed and eaten by Yajirobe.

Drum 大鼓多拉姆
大鼓（ドラム），日本经典动漫《龙珠》及其衍生作品中的角色。比克大魔王生出的第三个魔族战士。
The fourth, Drum (ドラム, Doramu), is created to battle Tien Shinhan, who he easily defeats until Goku appears and crushes his head in one blow.

Master Mutaito 武泰斗
武泰斗（むたいと）声：内海贤二龟仙人与鹤仙人的师父。短笛大魔王第一次征服世界期间他与众弟子一起与短笛的魔族部下战斗。他在同短笛的首度交锋中被击败，后在弟子龟仙人与鹤仙人的尽心照料下得以幸存；他随后便远走修行创造了“秘技·魔封波”并最终成功将短笛封印在一个电子锅里，但代价却是为此而牺牲。在动画原创剧情中，他在悟空用神殿的时光穿梭回到过去时曾指导悟空如何控制气。
Master Mutaito (武泰斗 Mutaito) is one of the greatest Martial Arts teachers of all time, and the first known person to act as Earth's savior. He is Master Roshi and Master Shen's teacher and the one who taught them the most amazing skills of the martial arts.

King Furry
King Furry, known as the King (国王 Koku-Ō) in the Japanese version, is an anthropomorphic dog who is the current King of Earth during the Dragon Ball series. He assumed his position in Age 733. The king is described as a splendid person, and is one of the few citizens of Earth who knows that Goku is the planet's true hero rather than Mr. Satan.

The Ultra Divine Water 超神水
The Ultra Divine Water ((超神水 Chōshinsui, lit. "Super God/Divine Water") is a magic water that will draw out all of the drinker's potential if they can survive its poisonous and painful effects. Thus, if a drinker has already obtained their full potential, it will have no effect.
