Dragon Ball Super (ドラゴンボール超スーパー Doragon Bōru Sūpā) (commonly abbreviated as DBS) is the fourth anime installment in the Dragon Ball franchise, which ran from July 5th, 2015 to March 25th, 2018. It is set between Dragon Ball Z episodes 288 and 289 and is the first Dragon Ball television series featuring a new storyline in 18 years since the final episode of Dragon Ball GT in 1997. A Dragon Ball Super manga was being produced alongside the anime. The series is developed by Toei, in a similar process to the Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT animes and Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ films. The series plot takes place after the Kid Buu Saga, in between the ten-year gap towards the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament.

Universe Survival Saga 宇宙生存篇

The Universe Survival Saga (宇う宙ちゅうサバイバル編へん Uchū Sabaibaru Hen) is the fifth major saga of the Dragon Ball Super anime and the fourth major saga of the Dragon Ball Super manga under the name Tournament of Power Saga (力ちからの大会たいかい編へん Chikara no Taikai Hen). The Tournament of Power planned by Zeno begins, with multiple universes partaking—with each universe having gathered a team of 10 fighters who battle alongside each other on a stage. The arc features continuous debuts of elites from each universe. However, this also proves to be the beginning of universal destruction. If a team were to lose, meaning having all of its members eliminated, then the universe they come from will be destroyed immediately. The first part of this story arc is referred to as the Universe Survival Saga: Prelude, the second is the Universe Survival Saga: Gathering, the third is the Tournament of Power Saga and the fourth is the Tournament of Power Saga: Climax.

剧情简介

在第六宇宙篇的结尾时，全王提出“下回把全部宇宙的选手都聚集起来，来办一个比赛试试看哦”。孙悟空为了让全王实现这个诺言而不顾警告去会见全王，于是大神官招唤全部宇宙的界王神和破坏神前来，其中还包含第11宇宙傲兵队队长同时也是破坏神候补塔破。在提出破坏神决斗和观看孙悟空和塔破的对决后还是提议举办了比赛，因全王本意就有让平均水准低于七的宇宙消失，除了第一、第五、第八、第十二宇宙高于7免参加以外其余宇宙如果输了这场比赛，所在的整个宇宙将会被全王毁灭。但是如果赢得了这场比赛，就可以获得超级七龙珠向超级神龙许愿的资格，同时所属宇宙也可以不必被免除。孙悟空感觉事态严重于是邀请地球上的武术高手们参加比赛，孙悟空与孙悟饭、贝吉塔、天津饭、小林、短笛、龟仙人、人造人17号, 18号以及和布欧先生。但是布欧先生因为正在睡觉，所以孙悟空决定把布欧先生的名额让给地狱里的弗利萨，这几名来自地球和地狱的武术高手，代表整个第七宇宙参加这次的力量大赛。经过一轮激战后，第九、十、二、六、四、三宇宙按次序消灭。最后悟空和弗利萨和第十一宇宙的最强战士-吉连一起同归于尽，实际上是17号诈死与弗利萨号合谋，孙悟空并不知情，第十一宇宙最后也被消灭，并由17号获得超级七龙珠并许愿恢复所有被消灭的宇宙。第七宇宙水平也从倒数第二升格为倒数第三。

Belmod 味美得
味美得，男，日本经典动漫《龙珠超》及其衍生作品中的角色。第11宇宙的破坏神。拥有不容邪恶的心。“骄傲战队”的活跃让他心中雀跃不已。《龙珠超》中所有的破坏神与天使的名字均改编自酒名。味美得（ベルモッド/Berumoddo，Vermut）来源于味美思酒（ベルモット/Berumotto，Vermouth）。味美得的外表是与性格完全不相符的马戏团小丑的模样，身着破坏神的统一制服，作为一名破坏神，味美得的实力非常强大，但本身的实力却不及作为人类的吉连，同时知道吉连的身世。漫画中，味美得与吉连被魔物杀害的师父杰青是好朋友，并且深知吉连不懂得团队合作的弱点。
Belmod (ベルモッド Berumoddo) is the God of Destruction of Universe 11. He is accompanied by his attendant and martial arts teacher Marcarita. Belmod is one of the two Gods of Destruction who was jointly designed by Akira Toriyama and Toyotarō, the other being Heles. Belmod is a tall pale humanoid of scrawny build that bears resemblance to a clown - in that he has chalk white skin, a half bald head with orange hair which sticks out like two large puffs on each side, a large red round nose, and big red lips. He has thick vertical blue lines running over both his eyes each which have thick black out-linings. Belmod wears a multicolored pink and blue variety of the traditional God of Destruction attire. Unlike the other Gods of Destruction seen, his vest boarders are gold colored instead of white, a trait only shared with Sidra. Before becoming a Destroyer God, Belmod wore the standard Pride Trooper attire. While he was still slim during this time, he had a noticeably more muscular build as well as a full head of hair. Vermoud's name seems to come from the alcoholic drink "Vermouth", continuing the alcohol name puns that the Gods of Destruction and their attendants possess.

Marcarita 玛卡丽塔

Marcarita (マルカリータ Marukarīta) is the Angel of Universe 11. She is the attendant and martial arts teacher of Belmod. She is also one of the Grand Minister's daughters. She appears in Dragon Ball Super during the Universe Survival Saga. Marcarita is a tall female angel, she greatly resembles her sister Vados but she kept her hair as twin ponytails with a small bang on each side of her forehead. She wears the standard angel attire, with purple sleeves, a black cuirass with the same orange and white decorations as Belmod, and a red sash. Like other angels she wields a scepter with a floating gem on it. Like all Gods of Destruction and Angels, Marcarita's name is a pun of a type of alcohol. Marcarita's name is a pun of the alcoholic drink: margarita.

Khai 凯伊
凯伊，男，日本经典动漫《龙珠超》及其衍生作品中的角色。第11宇宙的界王神，居住在界王神界。非常重视生命，有着极强的正义感、性格善良。在未来时空中，因被“黑暗人”与扎马斯②所杀，而使第十一宇宙破坏神·味美得而死亡，天使亦沉睡。留有白色庞克头，白色皮肤，耳带坡塔拉耳环，身着界王神统一制服，身材较小，拥有许多超能力。非常重视生命，有着极强的正义感、性格善良。
Khai (カイ Kai) is the Supreme Kai of Universe 11. Khai is a short Core Person with lavender skin and black eyes. His white hair is styled in a slicked back mohawk, and he is wearing gold and green Potara earrings. His Supreme Kai garb consists of a red vest with yellow trimming, a green long-sleeved shirt, black baggy pants, a blue sash tied around his waist and a cloth underneath his vest of the same color. He also wears plain white Supreme Kai boots.

Toppo 托破
托破，男，日本经典动漫《龙珠超》及其衍生作品中的角色。第11宇宙的“自由战士”，维护和平的英雄团队“骄傲战队”的队长。热血正义的战士，为人宗旨为“恶即斩”。其实力在第11宇宙骄傲战队中仅次于吉连，是第十一宇宙下一任破坏神的候选人。（托破的实力在动画与漫画中有所不同）第11宇宙“骄傲战队”成员的名字全部来源于厨房用具。托破（トッポ/Toppo）的名字来源于英语中的水壶“pot（ポット/potto）”。第11宇宙的“自由战士”，维护和平的英雄团队“骄傲战队”的首领。热血正义的巨汉战士，为人宗旨“恶即斩也”。在漫画当中，托破的实力在第11宇宙仅次于队友吉连、破坏神味美得、天使玛卡丽塔，可以在真空环境下生存，因此也可以在宇宙空间内自由飞行。被称作下一任破坏神的候选人。动画中，托破对孙悟空有极强的敌视情绪。而漫画中，托破的性格相对成熟、稳重，并不讨厌悟空。
Top (トッポ Toppo), also commonly known as Toppo, is the leader of the heroic team, the Pride Troopers, guardians of peace within Universe 11. He is also a Destroyer-in-training to become the Universe 11's next God of Destruction. Top is a humble, hot-blooded, and respectful, fighter who strongly believes in justice. Top's name appears to be a pun and an anagram for the word "pot" (ポット potto), going with the theme of the Pride Troopers being named after kitchen appliances. His name is also similar to the Italian word for "mouse" ("topo") and the Spanish word for "mole" ("topo") and has an identical pronunciation to them. The Funimation dub changes his name to Top to emphasize the anagram for "pot" in English.

Toppo Destroyer Form 破坏神状态
托破在天使玛卡丽塔训练下达到的形态，变身为正式破坏神，在与17号对波稳占上风时被黄金弗利萨偷袭，后被黄金弗利萨和17号前后夹击打倒，又遭受黄金弗利萨的嘲讽，于是托破下定决心并舍弃了自己的正义而再次变身成了此形态，身上出现特殊的纹路，身体发生变化代表使用了破坏能量，浑身遍布着破坏能量气息，任何接近的物体以及能量都会被毁灭，此状态就算不使用破坏能量也十分强大，无论是能量攻击还是近身战都有巨大提升，实力远远凌驾于地狱意念修行后的黄金弗利萨之上，仅凭一丁点的破坏能量就能消除弗利萨的死亡超新星，并一击击败弗利萨。
In the anime, in desperation to win and survive the Tournament of Power, Top made the conscious decision to abandon his ideals of justice. Upon doing so, Top was able to unleash the full power of his Destroyer training, becoming Top the Destroyer (トッポ 破壊神モード Toppo Hakaishin Mōdo, God of Destruction Mode Top). In this state, his skin tone is much darker, and his sclera turn light purple. His disproportionate body becomes balanced out to become slimmer in frame while his build expands with large hardened muscle. He gains a red symbol on his chest (the same symbol as the cuirass for the Universe 11's God of Destruction), and he is surrounded by a purple aura virtually identical to God of Destruction. He is far more powerful than before in this state, which apparently fully rejuvenates him from any previous injuries. This state allows Top to make full usage of godly ki. His aura, also made from Energy of Destruction, can instantly destroy anything that touches. Even in this form, his power is still weaker than Jiren's. This state, drawing from his desire to live, apparently greatly affects his mentality, as he becomes very disrespectful and even sadistic. At the same time, this state seems to have limits on what he can destroy as Vegeta, once mastering his Super Saiyan God SS Evolved, was able to resist and dispel Top's destruction ki. Also, once weakened enough or knocked out, Top apparently will return to normal.

Jiren 吉连
吉连，日本经典动漫《龙珠超》及其衍生作品中的角色。第11宇宙最强的战士，维护宇宙和平的英雄团队“骄傲战队”的10名主力成员之一。是一位把一切奉献给正义，沉默寡言的战士，其实力已经超越了所在宇宙的破坏神—味美得。第11宇宙“骄傲战队”成员的名字全部来源于厨房用具。吉连的名字来源于日语炉灶“レンジ（renji）”。动画中，吉连因家人的死和同伴的背叛，成为了一位沉默寡言、孤独冷酷的战士。从此便不再相信人世间存在真正的亲情和友情，痛恨着悲惨的过去，发誓要成为强者。不喜欢团队合作，更加喜欢独自采取行动，因不信任所谓的真情实意，只留下深刻的怨念和决心，势必要达到最强大最完美的地步，但自称追求比最强更远的事物，没满足愿望绝不罢休，并想彻底实现这个愿望。直到遇到孙悟空后，知道世上也有着纯正的人情事故。漫画中，吉连是一位将一切奉献予11宇宙的正义，不会为了私心私欲而行动的战士。面对穷凶极恶的敌人，吉连也不会有杀心。然而，据破坏神味美得所说，吉连有一个不惜违背这种信念也要实现的愿望。
Jiren (ジレン Jiren), also known as Jiren the Gray (灰色のジレン Haiiro no Jiren), is the most powerful member of the Pride Troopers. He served as the main fighting antagonist in the Universe Survival Saga and as a major contestant in the Tournament of Power. An extraordinary powerful being, Jiren is considered to be one of the strongest mortals in all of the multiverse, outclassing even his Universe's God of Destruction. He is a quiet and honorable fighter, who believes in strength and justice. He previously did not trust anyone and never considered teamwork at all during battle, opting to fight enemies alone, and single-handedly almost always winning.

Jiren Full Power 全力状态吉连
将自身的气全部释放后的姿态，从全身扩散出火焰般的大范围红色气焰，爆气时产生的强大震动足以震撼整个“无之界”。在《龙珠超》漫画中，吉连仅在这一状态下就已经可以与完成自在极意功的孙悟空互角
When channeling the full force of his power, Jiren's aura changes: in the anime it takes on a texture similar to that of fire and an additional layer, appearing as if he is literally burning with a double aura. In the manga Jiren simply gains red/orange sparks around his powered-up aura. In the anime, when powered up, Jiren can take down Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken Goku, Super Saiyan God SS Evolved Vegeta, and Android 17 at the same time. He was able to easily overpower True Golden Frieza, and even outmatch Goku's third usage of Ultra Instinct Sign. However, against Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku, Jiren was outclassed by Goku's newfound power.

Jiren Super Full Power 超极限状态
被觉醒了完成型自在极意的孙悟空逼入困境，令吉连回忆起曾经的心灵创伤，吉连的潜力也因此被唤醒。全身的肌肉比起常态和全力状态进一步膨胀，身上笼罩着与自在极意变身状态下的孙悟空类似的红色气焰。在这一形态下单靠纯粹的强大战斗力与完全领悟自在极意功的孙悟空势均力敌甚至占上风压制孙悟空。
In the anime, as Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku continued to overwhelm Full Power Jiren and defeat became apparent for him, Jiren's disdain for it (from the memories of his past trauma), let him awaken a much deeper level of his dormant potential. Breaking well-beyond his previous limits, Jiren unleashed a newfound power so intense, the very release of it caused the top portion of his Pride Trooper uniform to be blasted off and set the tournament ring ablaze with fiery ki. The release of his unthinkably colossal ki was unbelievably intense, that the World of Void was violently shaking as his fiery ki was scorching everything around him in intense heat akin to an active volcano. He also gains a substantial increase in muscle mass in this form as well as causing veins around his body to bulge out. When powering up and unleashing his aura, it appears as a crimson sparkling aura somewhat similar to Goku's Ultra Instinct.

Dyspo 蒂斯破
蒂斯破，男，日本经典动漫《龙珠超》及其衍生作品中的角色。第11宇宙的战士，维护宇宙和平的英雄团队“骄傲战队”的10名主力成员之一，自称“音速战士”。蒂斯破是急先锋队长，身经百战，能够在一瞬间把速度加快至常态几千倍。虽然本身力量不是很突出，但依靠速度优势可以弥补（原理是随着速度变快，冲击力也会变强）。在骄傲战队中实力仅次于队友吉连和队长托破，是排名第三的强者。第11宇宙“骄傲战队”成员的名字全部来源于厨房用具。蒂斯破的名字来源于英语中的垃圾处理机“garbagedisposal”。
Dyspo (ディスポ Disupo) is a member and captain/vanguard commander of the Pride Troopers that participates in the Tournament of Power. Dyspo is arrogant, reckless, and has a strong sense of justice. Dyspo is slim, purple, and hairless with wide, elongated pointed ears, similar to Cornish Rex and Sphynx cats in appearance. His eyes are bulging and yellow. Dyspo heavily resembles Beerus, though they share no relation. He has rabbit-like front teeth, unlike Beerus' more pointed, catlike teeth and also seems to lack a tail. He wears a red and black form-fitting suit and tall white boots, like the rest of his Pride Trooper teammates. Dyspo's name is a pun on "disposal", as in garbage disposal, continuing the trend of the Pride Troopers being named after kitchen items.

Kahseral 卡塞拉尔

Kahseral (カーセラル Kāseraru) is a cyborg warrior and general of the Pride Troopers in Universe 11. He is also the pilot of the Pride Troopers Spaceship. Kahseral is a humanoid, resembling an Earthling in appearance. His skin has a tan hue and his head is shaved. Part of his face is cybernetic, including an ear, and he has a robotic eye which is red. He has a communication device attached to his other ear. Kahseral wears a red beret. In the anime, he initially wears a sleeveless green tunic with gold trimmings and green armbands with gold trimmings. He also wears a belt with a silver buckle and dark pants. His boots are black and white. He has also been seen to put a pair of sunglasses at an occasion.

Cocotte 可可特
可可特，日本经典动漫《龙珠超》及其衍生作品中的角色。第11宇宙的女战士，是维护宇宙和平的英雄团“骄傲战队”的成员，“异空间的奇幻魔术师”。拥有创造与外界隔绝难以被打破的异空间球体的能力。既可以保护自己免受伤害，亦可以禁锢对手的行动。
Cocotte (ココット Kokotto) is a member of the Pride Troopers who participates in the Tournament of Power. Like all of the other Pride Troopers, Cocotte has a red tracksuit to match the uniform. She is a humanoid with very long, dark pink hair, and her skin is a very light pink color as well. Her eyes are lime green, and she has bright green earrings that hang from her pointed ears. She also has a shapely figure. Like for the other Pride Troopers, Cocotte's name is a pun on a kitchen tool; in this case the Cocotte, the French variant of the Dutch oven. Her fighting pose is almost identical to Jeice's.

Vewon 布恩
布恩，日本经典动漫《龙珠超》及其衍生作品中的角色。第11宇宙的恐龙战士，是维护宇宙和平的英雄团队“骄傲战队”的10名主力成员之一。第11宇宙“骄傲战队”成员的名字全部来源于厨房用具。布恩（ブーオン/Būon，Vuon）来源于英语烤炉“oven（オーブン/ōbun）”。
Vewon (ブーオン Būon) is a member of the Pride Troopers who participates in the Tournament of Power. Vewon is a tailless dinosaur-like humanoid with orange skin. Like the rest of the Pride Troopers, Vewon's name appears to come from a kitchen appliance, namely the Japanese pronunciation of the word "oven" (オーブン ōbun).

Tupper 塔巴

Tupper (タッパー Tappā) is a member of the Pride Troopers who participates in the Tournament of Power. In his anime only form, Tupper is a muscular humanoid with teal skin, dark blue hair, and a mustache and beard. He wears the standard uniform of the Pride Troopers. Being a Pride Trooper, it can be assumed Tupper has the same sense of justice as his comrades. Tupper's name is derived from Tupperware, a type of plastic that is used for containers and drinking cups. His ability and behavior to control body weight, petrification, and to Bear Hug the target from behind and weight heavily on, are akin to that of Konaki-jiji（子泣き爺）, a famous yōkai in Japan.

Zoire 佐伊雷
佐伊雷，男，日本经典动漫《龙珠超》及其衍生作品中的角色。第11宇宙的战士，是维护宇宙和平的英雄团队“骄傲战队”的成员。名字来源于日语冷藏库的罗马音“reizōko/reizouko”。
Zoire (ゾイレー Zoirē) is a member of the Pride Troopers who participates in the Tournament of Power. Zoire is a small, impish creature with purple skin and a pair of outwardly curved horns. He wears the standard Pride Trooper uniform. In the manga, he also possesses a pair of black wings. His name Zoiray (ゾイレー Zoirē) is a possible reference to a refrigerator (reizōko/reizouko 冷蔵庫) in Japanese.

Kettle 凯特尔
凯特尔，男，日本经典动漫《龙珠超》及其衍生作品中的角色。第11宇宙的战士，是维护宇宙和平的英雄团“骄傲战队”的成员。
Kettle (ケットル Kettoru) is a member of the Pride Troopers who participates in the Tournament of Power. Kettle is a well-built, humanoid olive-green amphibian-like member of the Pride Troopers with a set of barbels growing from the sides of his upper mouth. He has large yellow sclera eyes with red iris eyes. Kettle's name is derived from Kettle, a kitchen appliance used to heat water.

K'nsi 昆西
昆西（クンシー（罗马音：Kunshī）），日本经典动漫《龙珠超》及其衍生作品中的角色。第11宇宙的战士，是维护宇宙和平的英雄团队“骄傲战队”的10名主力成员之一。第11宇宙“骄傲战队”成员的名字全部来源于厨房用具。昆西（クンシー/Kunshi，Kunshee）来源于英语水槽sink（シンク/shinku）。
K'nsi (クンシー Kunshī) is a member of the Pride Troopers who participates in the Tournament of Power. K'nsi is a blue, ogre-like individual with a short stature, and purple dots on his head. Like many of his comrades, he wears his Pride Trooper uniform and he is well-built. His name comes from sink (シンク shinku).

Dorakiyans
Dorakiyans (ドラキヤ星人 Dorakiya-seijin) are a race of aliens that populated Dorakiya in Universe 11. The Dorakiyan race design appears to draw inspiration from the Meatians from Universe 7. They possess bluish-gray humanoid outer plating over red skin, as well as blank black eyes. Their mouths resemble that of Cell's first form, though colored dark blue. A Dorakiyan with a space monster named Araghne under its control invaded the Planet Daldon. However they were defeated by three of the Pride Troopers: Top, Dyspo, and Kahseral. The race utilizes Dorakiyan Spaceships for transportation.


Araghne
Araghne (アラグネ Aragune) is a space monster in Universe 11. Araghne seems to be a mindless beast only serving its Dorakiyan comrade. On planet Daldon, Araghne and Dorakiyan were running amok until Dyspo of the Pride Troopers arrived. Araghne overwhelms Dyspo with its tentacles and is about to eat him, until Top and Kahseral saved him. It was then defeated by Dyspo and Kahseral's Double Cannon Maximum while Top threw the Dorakiyan in Araghne's mouth, destroying them both.

Gicchin
Gicchin (ギッチン Ghicchin, lit. Gitchen) is Jiren's master. Gicchin is a tall muscular man with green skin and pointed ears. He has long white hair and a beard. Gicchin appears to have been a very noble person, as he took an orphaned Jiren in and trained him along with many others so that they could fight for the sake of justice. He even sacrificed himself to save his remaining students from being killed. Gicchin was friends with Belmod before he became a God of Destruction. It was Gicchin's belief in teamwork that led to Belmod choosing to become a God of Destruction - as he believed in power over Gicchin's "sappy" views. In the anime, Gicchin saved Jiren from the villain that killed his family and after that he trained with Jiren and his new students to improve their strength. Later, with his students, they fought the same villain, but he and most of his students died in battle. Gicchin's name is derived from kitchen, a room used for cooking and food preparation.
